Terms and Conditions
Agreement Between:
Pristine Exteriors (“The Service Provider”)
A company existing under the laws of Virginia.
And:
The property owner, referred to as “The Client.”
This agreement covers residential or commercial exterior cleaning services, including pressure washing and soft washing, and outlines payment and service expectations.
Authorization
The Client grants Pristine Exteriors access to the property within the estimated timeframe to complete the cleaning service. If rescheduling is required due to weather or unforeseen issues, we will make every effort to accommodate. The Client must provide access to an outdoor spigot that is turned on and easily accessible. If the property relies on well water or has low pressure, the Client must inform us beforehand and refrain from using water during service.
Payment Terms
- Payment Options: Cash, Check, Credit Card, and Venmo.
- Residential Services: Payment is due upon completion on the day of service.
- Commercial Services: Invoices are due within 30 days.
- Late Fees: Residential invoices not paid within 7 days will incur a 5% late fee. After 90 days, legal action may be taken to recover debt, including legal costs.
Media Release and Use
The Client agrees that Pristine Exteriors may use photos and videos for internal documentation, training, and marketing. By using our services, the Client also consents to receiving promotional messages via email or text.
Cancellations and Fees
- Cancellation Fee: $50 if canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
- Water Access Fee: $50 if no working water source is available on-site.
Risks and Liability
We use cleaning chemicals to remove staining. While we take precautions, there are risks—especially on delicate surfaces.
- Pre-existing Damage: A technician will perform a walk-through and document any existing damage with photos or videos.
- Liability: We are not responsible for water damage caused by poor installation or maintenance of exterior components (e.g., windows, doors, siding, shingles).
Client Responsibility and Safety
- Ensure all gates, doors, or fences are unlocked and the work area is clear.
- Secure all pets or keep them indoors.
- Remove personal property and obstructions from the work area.
- For safety, all occupants and pets should stay indoors during the cleaning process due to risks from high-pressure equipment and cleaning chemicals.
Weather and Environmental Conditions
- Weather Delays: Services may be postponed due to rain, snow, or extreme heat/cold. We will reschedule as soon as possible.
- Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to causes beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, labor strikes).
Chemical Use and Surface Protection
We use environmentally friendly cleaning solutions when possible and apply all chemicals according to safety guidelines.
- Sensitive Surfaces: Some chemicals may cause discoloration or damage. The Client must notify us of any concerns in advance.
Liability and Insurance
- Property Damage: We are insured for accidental damage due to negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or property neglect (e.g., rotting wood, loose shingles).
- Insurance Coverage: Liability insurance is maintained for job-related accidents. A certificate of insurance is available upon request.
Specialty Services and Add-Ons
- Additional Services: Items not listed in the original estimate (e.g., window cleaning, gutter cleaning) must be approved in writing by the Client before being performed.
- Add-On Services: Extra fees may apply and must be discussed and confirmed before the service date.
Guarantee and Warranty
- Satisfaction Guarantee: If the Client is not satisfied, we will make reasonable efforts to address concerns or re-service at no cost.
- Roof Cleaning Warranty: A 30-day warranty is offered. If issues occur within this period, we will reapply treatments at no charge.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes will be resolved via mediation or binding arbitration under Virginia law, before pursuing legal action.
Privacy and Confidentiality
All Client information is confidential and used only for service, invoicing, and communication purposes.
Pet Waste and Obstructions
The Client must ensure the property is free from pet waste and obstructions. We do not handle pet waste. A $50 fee applies if cleanup or removal is necessary before work can begin.
House/Building and Concrete Cleaning Notes
- House/Building Wash: We use sodium hypochlorite and other cleaning solutions. High heat may burn plants. Oxidation on vinyl or paint may become more visible after cleaning.
- Concrete Cleaning: Cleaning may make existing stains more noticeable. Rust, oil, and paint stains may need special treatments not included in standard service.
Roof Cleaning Acknowledgments
We use low-pressure treatments to clean roofs. Organic growth may take 6–8 weeks to fully disappear. If needed, we’ll return to reapply treatment.
Agreement and Acceptance
By accepting the estimate, the Client agrees to all specifications and terms listed. Pristine Exteriors is authorized to perform the work. Any damages must be reported within 48 hours of service completion to be considered for claims.
