TERMS & CONDITIONS
PRISTINE EXTERIORS TERMS & CONDITIONS
BETWEEN:
Pristine Exteriors (The “Service Provider”)
A company existing under the laws of Virginia.
AND:
The property owner, referred to as “The Client.”
This agreement pertains to the completion of residential or commercial exterior cleaning services, including pressure washing and soft washing services, and the receipt of payment from the Client.
- Authorization
The Client grants the company access to the property within the estimated timeframe to complete the cleaning service. If the service needs to be rescheduled due to bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the company will make every effort to accommodate the Client’s needs. The Client must provide access to an outdoor spigot that will be turned on and easily accessible for the company’s use. If the property relies on well water or has low water pressure, the Client must inform the company prior to arrival and avoid using water during the cleaning service.
- Payment Terms
- Payment Options: Our payment options include Cash, Check, Venmo or Credit Card. Credit cards/Venmo will incur an additional 3% service fee.
- Residential Services: Payment is due upon completion of the work on the day of service.
- Commercial Services: Invoices are subject to a net 60 payment term.
- Late Fees: Any outstanding residential invoice after seven days will be subject to a 5% late fee. If an invoice is unpaid for 90 days, the company reserves the right to pursue legal action to collect the debt, including seeking compensation for all legal costs incurred.
- Media Release and Use
The Client agrees that Pristine Exteriors may use cameras, photos, and videos for company documentation, training, and marketing purposes. By engaging with our services, the Client also consents to receiving promotional notifications via email or text.
- Cancellations and Fees
- Cancellation Fee: A $50 fee will be assessed if the Client cancels the service within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment.
- Water Access Fee: A $50 fee will be assessed if a working water source is not available.
- Acknowledgement of Risks and Release of Liability
Pristine Exteriors uses cleaning chemicals to remove organic and inorganic staining. While we take necessary precautions to prevent property damage, there is always a risk, especially on delicate surfaces.
- Pre-existing Damage: Before starting work, a technician will perform a property walk-through and document any existing damage through photos or videos.
- Liability: Pristine Exteriors is not responsible for any water damage resulting from poor installation, maintenance, or repair of exterior components such as windows, doors, siding, or shingles.
- Safety Precautions and Client Responsibility
- Client’s Responsibility: The Client is responsible for ensuring that all gates, doors, or fences are unlocked, and that access to the cleaning area is clear.
- Pets: The Client agrees to secure all pets or ensure they are kept indoors during the service.
- Personal Property: The Client should remove any personal items or obstructions near the cleaning area to avoid potential damage.
- Client Safety: For the safety of the Client, any pets, and the technicians, it is recommended that the Client and any occupants remain indoors during the cleaning process. The use of high-pressure equipment and cleaning chemicals can pose risks if individuals are in close proximity.
- Environmental and Weather Conditions
- Weather Delays: Services may be rescheduled due to weather conditions such as rain, snow, or extreme temperatures. If a service is postponed, Pristine Exteriors will make every effort to reschedule at the earliest convenience.
- Force Majeure: The company is not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, labor strikes, or severe weather.
- Chemical Use and Environmental Protection
- Cleaning Chemicals: Pristine Exteriors uses environmentally friendly cleaning solutions where possible. All chemicals will be applied according to safety guidelines to minimize risks to the environment, surrounding areas, and plant life.
- Damage to Sensitive Surfaces: Certain chemicals may cause discoloration or damage to sensitive surfaces like painted wood or vinyl. The Client agrees to notify Pristine Exteriors of any concerns about sensitive surfaces.
- Liability and Insurance
- Property Damage: Pristine Exteriors is fully insured for accidental damage caused by our staff’s negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or damages caused by neglect of the property (e.g., rotting wood, loose shingles, or faulty construction).
- Insurance Coverage: Pristine Exteriors maintains liability insurance for accidents or injuries during the cleaning process. A certificate of insurance can be provided upon request.
- Specialty Services and Add-Ons
- Additional Services: Any services not included in the initial estimate, such as window cleaning, gutter cleaning, or rust removal, must be approved in writing by the Client before work is performed.
- Add-On Services: Additional services will incur extra fees and should be discussed and confirmed with the Client before the service date.
- Guarantee and Warranty
- Satisfaction Guarantee: Pristine Exteriors offers a satisfaction guarantee. If the Client is not satisfied with the results, we will make reasonable efforts to address any issues or provide a re-service at no additional charge.
- Service Warranty: We offer a 30-day warranty on roof cleaning services. If any issues arise within this period, we will return to reapply treatments at no additional cost.
- Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved through mediation or binding arbitration, as per the laws of Virginia, before any legal proceedings are initiated.
- Privacy and Confidentiality
Pristine Exteriors is committed to maintaining the privacy of our Clients. Any personal information shared by the Client will be kept confidential and used exclusively for the purposes of providing services, invoicing, and communication.
- Pet Waste and Obstructions
The Client is responsible for ensuring that the property is free from any pet waste or obstructions that may interfere with the cleaning process. Pristine Exteriors is not responsible for handling or cleaning pet waste, and any obstructions should be removed prior to the service. If our technicians encounter pet waste or obstructions that require removal before work can proceed, a $50 fee will be assessed to the Client’s account.
- House/Building Wash and Concrete Cleaning
- House/Building Wash: Pristine Exteriors uses sodium hypochlorite and other solutions to clean organic growth from exterior surfaces. Clients should be aware that high temperatures can cause plant burn, and oxidation on vinyl or painted surfaces may become visible after cleaning.
- Concrete Cleaning: Concrete surfaces may show stains more visibly after cleaning due to the removal of dirt and pollutants. Stains from rust, oil, or paint may require specialized treatments not covered in the standard service.
- Roof Cleaning and Acknowledgments
- Roof Cleaning: The Client acknowledges that low-pressure application is used to neutralize organic growth on roofs, and natural elements may take 6-8 weeks to fully remove growth. If any re-application is necessary, Pristine Exteriors will return to complete the process.
- Agreement/Acceptance to Terms and Conditions
Upon acceptance of the estimate, the Client agrees that all specifications and conditions outlined in the proposal/estimate are hereby accepted. The Client also authorizes Pristine Exteriors to complete the work as specified in the proposal/estimate. If damage is found after the completion of work, the Client must report it within 48 hours for claims to be considered.
